Elderslie Residential and Nursing Care Home

Welcome to Elderslie Care Home in Paisley, where our team provides person-centred care in a friendly and warm environment. Set in pretty gardens our Home is conveniently located in Paisley, one of Scotland’s largest towns made famous for its weaving and textiles industry as well as the famous Paisley pattern.

We pride ourselves on our strong community where we take time to get to know Residents, just as you would within a family home. Working closely with each Resident, Colleagues create a personalised support plan to suit individual healthcare and wellbeing needs. Our varied activities calendar provides lots of opportunity to socialise and enjoy favourite pastimes. Or if you prefer to relax and unwind, Elderslie Care Home in Paisley is the perfect place to take time out, set in beautiful gardens and surrounded by rolling countryside.

Our expert team care for Residents living with different needs across our four individual care communities. Each one is guided by our person-centred care ethos, which means we take care of Residents’ emotional, nutritional, spiritual and physical wellbeing. Dedicated and compassionate, our nursing and care staff look after Residents with a range of requirements, including those living with dementia, Parkinson’s and other complex needs.

Our Home is well connected and lies off the M8 motorway, so it’s less than 15 minutes from Glasgow by rail or road.

Person-centred care

We like to think of ourselves as one big family here at Elderslie where we treat each Resident with dignity, respect and compassion. Personalised, electronic care plans are developed by Colleagues, alongside the Resident and next of kin where possible. All interactions and support provided to Residents are electronically noted as they take place, meaning Colleagues are able to spend more time with Residents rather than writing up notes.

We have onsite physiotherapy where trained professionals help keep Residents moving, building their strength and even rebuilding movement. We’re also developing a calming ‘Namaste’ room, offering therapy for Residents living with advanced dementia. Here, Residents will be able to access music therapy, massage and multi-sensory therapies, providing pleasure and aiding communication.

Living life to the full

Friendship and social interaction are paramount to positive wellbeing for all of us. This is why at Elderslie we have a dedicated activity planner for each of the 4 communities at the Home, which includes lively quizzes, movie nights, tea parties and karaoke to name but a few.

We have a variety of clubs, including gardening and book clubs and we have recently launched a walking group. We also have a whole host of regular entertainers who are invited into the Home and our in-home bar can also be a hub of evening social activity.

Dining and nutrition

A good diet is important no matter what our age, helping to give us energy and ensuring we stay healthy. At Elderslie Care Home in Paisley, our brilliant team of chefs get to know the nutritional needs and personal tastes of each Resident ensuring that they not only receive great tasting meals, but also as part of a healthy and balanced diet, providing them with all the nutrients they require.

We serve three tasty meals a day in our charming dining room as well as delicious home-baked cakes and refreshments at other times. Our chefs also never miss an opportunity to celebrate, so whether it is a birthday with a beautiful, personalised cake or an amazing Valentine’s chocolate delight, there is always something to look forward to.

Covid-secure visiting

The health and safety of Residents is our number one priority. As well as staying clinically safe we know how crucial it is for Residents to stay in touch with loved ones. We have developed secure indoor visiting spaces for visitors during COVID-19.

Electronic care plans

We always strive to innovate and use technology to enhance our provision of person-centred care. Our Home uses Electronic Care Plans which provide instant and secure access to care details and provide a thorough overview of support and activities. Using technology increases efficiency and enables our Colleagues to spend more meaningful time with Residents and improving the quality of interactions and care and support provided.
