Exercise on a regular basis and a varied activity programme are beneficial for many reasons, which is why we place so much importance on them at Gorton Parks.
We know that activities have been proven to improve appetites and sleep patterns, so we encourage all our residents to take part in the range on offer. Our activity co-ordinator chats with all residents to make sure we find something fun and interesting for them to do. We can also help them continue any existing hobbies in the home.
Our activities in the home range from arts and crafts to quizzes and gardening, and we also arrange local trips outside of the home which family and friends are always welcome to come along and join in.
The mealtimes at Gorton Parks are an important part of the daily routine at the home, as it is the perfect opportunity to catch up with your friends over some tasty food.
Our chefs only use fresh, locally-sourced ingredients when creating the delicious meals that our residents enjoy so much. The menu is assessed for its nutritional value so we can make sure that each dish is as healthy as it is tasty.
We believe in creating a comfortable and homely atmosphere at our home, which is why we ensure our residents' rooms feature everything they need. We encourage all residents to bring along any personal items with them when they first come to the home to help them settle in. These could be photos and ornaments or small items of furniture.
