Crafting Connections: Bishop’s Cleeve Care Home Hosts Arts & Crafts with Local Brownie Group
29 April 2024
In an afternoon filled with creativity and joy, Bishop’s Cleeve Care Home welcomed a special guest – a local Brownie Group – for an arts and crafts session that left everyone smiling.
With the Brownies taking charge of planning and preparation, the care home staff and residents simply had to show up and let the fun begin. Gathering in one of the lounges, residents and Brownies alike embarked on an artistic journey inspired by the theme of space.
What started as a casual arts and crafts session quickly transformed into a bustling hive of creativity, as residents who usually preferred to observe found themselves drawn into the excitement. Anne W, known for her quiet demeanor, couldn’t resist engaging with the young girls, peppering them with questions and sharing in their enthusiasm. Similarly, Ann H found herself pleasantly surprised by how much she enjoyed the activity, diving into her own creation with newfound zeal.
Adding to the cosmic atmosphere, marshmallow constellation treats provided a sweet break amidst the crafting frenzy. For Angela, a passionate member of the care home’s Art Club, the afternoon was a highlight. Eager to continue the creative collaboration, she expressed her desire to invite the Brownies back for another session soon.
The following day, the fruits of their labor were proudly displayed on a vibrant board, showcasing everyone’s unique creations and the spirit of camaraderie that had permeated the room.
